News and Notes - Local Flava'

McMurry’s most recent appeal was rejected by the NCAA. They will no longer be allowed to use the name “Indians.” Any suggestions for McMurry’s new mascot?

First Aeroball, now this. Did anybody catch T. Potts on “Summer House” last night? I saw it and it and in the first competition, Potts got third. Looks like an interesting show. Might have to change the lyrics to “… puttin’ Abilene on the map like Lackey and Rhodes and Potts…”

Ken Lucas gains my respect. Other players could learn from his attitude.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paul Thompson officially named Oklahoma’s replacement for Bomar because as OU offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson says, in Thompson “We have a grown man who is very smart.”

LSU football wins award for gayest summer workouts. Hey Tigers, ever heard of lifting and running?

Looks like Rashaun Woods career is over. Funny? Not funny?

Um, is LSU's team made of women this year? What the f*@#? Probably the gayest thing I've ever seen.

As for McMurry, like I've said before, not a real school, as are all Abilene schools, and no one really should care what they are called or if they even exist. On the other hand, I think it is so gay how people take offense to names of teams. Come on people, put your time and energy into a worthwhile cause and quit complaining.
