Speeder's NFC West

The 49ers are in a definite rebuilding stage. They are one of the few teams that just lack talent. Offensively they have Vernon Davis, Frank Gore, and Larry Allen. Vernon will not be a huge factor because he will be double or triple teamed. Since they won’t score much they will have to play great defense which I don’t see either. Aside from Manny Lawson, the D lacks playmakers. The secondary is decent, but a weak front seven evens them out to be sucky. The 49ers will struggle and be one of the top contenders for AD.

The Cardinals are really putting something together. With the signing of Edge, the offense is finally balanced. Unlike the 49ers, the Cardinals are full of talent. The skill positions are sick with Anquan, Fitz, Edge, Warner, and Leonard Pope. The line is iffy but Len Davis and Deuce Lutui are a solid start. Now the D is also talented. Karlos Dansby, Bert Berry, Darnell Dockett, AdrianWilson, and the return of Antrel Rolle. Antrel will be a major factor. He had 28 tackles in 5 games which is a great ratio for a CB. The power in the West as shifted to Arizona!

The Rams could be a surprise. I don’t think they will be that good, but Lovie Smith is building a great team. Bulger will be back after only playing in 8 games, Isaac Bruce missed 5 games cause of turf toe and they still have Torry Holt and Seppy. The D is looking better and better because Lovie is bringing in his guys. LaRoi Glover, Will Witherspoon, and Tye Hill are all key additions to the D. I think the Rams could be a sleeper this year.

The Seahawks will for sure drop off from last year and not be nearly as good. They will be weak offensively because of Shaun Alexander’s Madden curse, the Super Bowl loser never makes it back, and they lost Steve Hutchinson. The D may be better, because of Julian Peterson, and the return of Ken Hamlin. With Peterson, they boast a scary backing crew in him, Lofa Tatupu, and D.D. Lewis. They had an easy schedule and wont be nearly as good. They may just miss the play-offs.

Predictions for NFC West:
1. Arizona Cardinals
2. Seattle Seahawks
3. St. Louis Rams
4. San Francisco 49ers

thats so cute you think lovie smith is building a great team with the rams. Is he pulling double duty, because he coaches the bears too.

I can't express with words how ridiculous a pick of Arizona winning the division is. The Seahawks have gotten better as a team and they played in the SB. How is Deuce Lutui an anchor on the o--line when he has never played a down in the pros? He is fighting for a job and you pump him up as a pro-bowler! I think the Cards are on the rise too, but they aren't risen yet, at least not enough to win the division.
